Callie Gartenman, MEd, BCBA, COBA earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2009. Callie won Student Teacher of the Year in 2009 for Eastern Illinois University. The summer after graduation, she traveled to Korea on a mission trip and taught English. She is a certified teacher in Illinois but soon moved to the Cincinnati area to teach 5th grade. After one year of teaching, she realized her heart was in Special Education. She soon decided to change her focus from General Education to Special Education. Callie began working as a Behavior Technician and began a Masters Degree in Special Education in 2010. After doing this for 2 years, she changed her major to the Foundations of Behavior Analysis. In April 2014, Callie proudly graduated with her Masters in Education and the Foundations in Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati. She has completed supervision under 5 influential BCBAs and is a member of ABAI and HABA. She is also a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst. She continues to help shape the lives of children and families every day. Callie is a certified Safety Care Trainer and has been a valued member of the D.A.S.I. team since 2012. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and cats. She is fond of coaching high school softball and completing home/DIY projects. She is an avid music lover and enjoys attending concerts.
